The Trust has recently approved a number of grant awards which will bring piping and drumming tuition to more pupils across Scotland.

  • £5,000 will go to Larbert High School towards the purchase of pipes and a set of drums.
  • £2,844 will go to Castlebay Community School towards travel and overnight costs for young members of the Sgoil Lionacleit Pipe Band.
  • £30,000 over three years will go to Larkhall Youth Pipes and Drums towards the cost of a new schools pipe band programme.
  • Up to £10,000 will go to The Berwickshire Youth Piping and Drumming Foundation towards first year costs of a new schools pipe band programme at Duns High School and feeder primaries.
  • £8,300 will go to Moray Youth Pipes and Drums Association towards a new schools pipe band programme at Forres Academy and feeder primaries.
  • £7,400 will go to Elgin Schools Pipes and Drums towards a new schools pipe band programme at Elgin High School and feeder primaries.
  • Three year funding will go to High Life Highland towards a new snare drumming post to support the development of a school pipe band in Kingussie.
