The Scottish Schools Pipes and Drums Trust exists partly to protect and expand our musical heritage, but more importantly to give young people opportunities to develop a unique set of skills that will stay with them for life. Donations help us to support piping and drumming tuition in state schools in Scotland, to encourage music making in groups, and to support the development of school pipe bands. There are a number of ways you can donate to SSPDT.
You can make a one-off, secure, direct donation to SSPDT through Wonderful.org by clicking on the Donate button below. SSPDT will receive 100% of your donation, plus 25% in Gift Aid if you are a UK Taxpayer and agree to add this to your donation, at no additional cost.
Please note, the following banks allows donors to make donations on Wonderful: Barclays, Danske Bank, First Direct, Halifax, HSBC, Lloyds Bank, Monzo, Nationwide, Natwest, RBS, Revolut, Santander, Tesco Bank, TSB, AIB, Bank of Ireland. If you would like to fundraise for SSPDT, you can set up a fundraising page through the online fundraising platform, Wonderful.org.
SSPDT loans bagpipes to new young players through our Bagpipe Lending Scheme, to help pupils get started on the pipes and to give them time to save up for their own set. If you have a set of bagpipes in good condition that you no longer use, please consider donating them to us so we can help another young player who might find it difficult to afford their first set. You can donate to SSPDT in memory of a loved one by making a one-off donation, or by raising funds for a specific cause such as to purchase pipes for our Bagpipe Lending Scheme. Please contact us on [email protected] to discuss your in memoriam donation.
